Regulators Sling Lead in May
Saturday morning there were 18 Regulators ready to do business.
Armed with their trusty sidearms and long guns, each shooter was capable of dispatching bandits and bringing order to the range.
The top 3 shooters were each in a different class which speaks of the talent present at our club. We have top shooters in every class including Buckerettes. Mort Dooley was Top Gun shooting Traditional with Ottway Smith right behind shooting Duelist. O'Shea was 3rd overall and 1st in Senior with A-Wall 4th overall and 2nd in Traditional. Trooper Lark and TN Deadeye represented the 49'er class in 5th & 6th places. TN Bob shooting Traditional was 7th overall while Hogleg Horn and Shamrock Paddy showed what Classic Cowboys could do.
Ambush Annie was our top Women's Senior with Cherokee Deacon the top Modern shooter. Winchester Wood was 3rd in Classic Cowboy while the Dadeville Dude was 1st in B-Western. Bear Claws O'Connor was 2nd in Senior as Sheepdog Slim finished 2nd in Duelist.
Summer Breeze was our top Junior and did and outstanding job as usual.
We had two brand new shooters joining us and were happy to have them both. Lady Sedona finished 2nd in Women's Senior and Captain Mustang Mathews was 3rd in Duelist. Both of them did an excellent job and shot very well in their first match. We certainly want to see them back next month.
Three cowboys hit every target they aimed at and ended the day with a clean match. Ottway Smith, Trooper Lark and TN Deadeye are all great shots and showed they could get the job done right. Congratulations to each of them and to all of the fine cowboys and cowgirls who participated with us this month.
Many of us are headed to Mule Camp, The Great Southeastern Regionals, this week in Covington, Georgia and I expect that each of the Regulators who go will do well. Be sure to grab your guns and gear and join us in June for another great match in Greeneville. We are still looking for ideas for some side matches so if you have any just let us know. Until next month, shoot straight and have fun the cowboy way, from the Ramrod, Mort Dooley.
