Spring weather for March

Saturday dawned a beautiful morning but was a little chilly to start.  As the day moved along, the temperatures slowly began to rise and by the time we finished shooting, it was actually pretty warm.  There were 28 shooters present and every one of them was ready for business.  Several people had been sick over the winter but are feeling better and we are glad they could make it back to shoot with us.

Summer Breeze has been under the weather for a while and was not able to be there.  We missed her and her sister, B N Bonnett and their dad A-Wall.  The Regulators want to wish her a speedy recovery and want to see them all back in April.

The stages were supplied by our own William AA Wallace and he had done another fine job with them.  At the end of the shoot, when the smoke had cleared and the dust had settled, Middle Creek Kid was the Top Gunslinger.  This was his first match win and congratulations go to him.  He has really been shooting well and I'm sure he will continue.  Mort Dooley was 2nd with O'Shea our top senior and close behind in 3rd.  Ottway Smith was the top duelist with TN Deadeye the top 49'er.  Ambush Annie was 13th overall and our top women's traditional shooter.  Cherokee Deacon was the top modern shooter in 14th.  To see all of the results, check out the scores section of the web.

With better weather hopefully coming, we would like to see more cowboys and cowgirls and continue to have great shoots.  There are some big shoots coming up such as "The Carolina Belles Bust Out" at Lenoir, NC in May and "Mule Camp, The Great Southeastern Regionals" at the end of May.  If you are interested in going to these and need information, just contact us and we will help you out.

I'd like to thank all the fine cowboys and cowgirls for helping us to have a fun match this month.  We are going to try and have some side matches to help raise money for new targets so if you have any ideas, please let us know.  Until next month, shoot straight and have fun the cowboy way, from the Ramrod, Mort Dooley.
