Regulators Battled Heat in July

When William AA Wallace wrote the stages for July, he sure titled them correctly.  "Dang It's Hot" was the theme of each stage and the weather lived up to it.  The water supplied by the club was no where to be found by the end of the match after 27 cowpokes fought the heat all day.

Our top shooters where in varied categories again which just goes to show that our club has some real talent and a lot of diversity.  Ringer was the Top Gun shooting 49'er with Lickcreek Kid taking 2nd overall and 1st in Modern.  Middle Creek Kid was also shooting Modern and finished 3rd overall while Mort Dooley, O'Shea and Ottway Smith followed closely behind in Traditional, Senior and Senior Duelist respectively.

Ambush Annie was our Top Women's Senior winner while Winchester Wood took 1st in Classic Cowboy.  Reno Luck won the gunfighter class just ahead of Tombstone Tim in Frontier Cartridge.  The Top Women's Traditional shooter was Honeysuckle Sue.  Tombstone Tommy returned and was our Top Junior shooter this month.

After the match, we had a club meeting to discuss more plans for the new range.  Many things were accomplished and we look forward to being able to shoot there soon.  For more details on the range, contact Mort Dooley.

We plan to begin having some long range buffalo rifle matches at the new range in Bulls Gap very soon.  We will get a map or directions listed on the website soon so you can go check it out if you want.  Until then, shoot straight and have fun the cowboy way from the Ramrod, Mort Dooley.
