Great Weather in October

Saturday started out on the foggy side but didn't take long for the sun to burn through giving us a great day to enjoy shooting. We had a total of 32 shooters that came to help us rid Bordertown of the bandits who rode into town.  The title of this month’s match was “More Bandits at Bordertown!” and our cowboys shot the stages quickly.

We had cowboys and cowgirls ride in from all over.  Jakealope and Anita Margarita shot with us for the first time and boy did they make a showing!  Jakealope was shooting very fast with his blackpowder loads even when the smoke kept hanging in the air and Anita Margarita was blazing shooting in the Lady Wrangler class and finishing 4th overall.  We are glad they came and shot with us and hope they will come back.  We also had a good group from North Carolina and the Knoxville area as well as the usual crowd of Regulators.

Shooting was fast on each posse and times were good.  When the smoke cleared and the dust settled, Ringer was the Top Gun overall.  Congratulations Ringer on a nice match!  Our next two shooters flowed like “water” as Middle Creek Kid and Boozy Creek finished 2nd and 3rd.  Anita Margarita was 4th with Rio Drifter close behind in 5th place.  The complete list of your favorite shooters is posted in the Scores section of the website.  Thanks to William A.A. Wallace for getting them posted so quickly each month.  He almost always has them up the evening of the match and wants to make sure the competitors know how they did.  Thanks again A.A., we appreciate it.

This year is passing by almost as fast as Lil Weasel shoots a match!  We look forward to our November match and hope lots of folks will come out and spend the day with us having fun.  Be sure to keep and eye on our website for any news in the Message Board section.  That's about it for this month, I hope to see everyone at the next shoot so until next time, shoot straight and have fun the cowboy way, from the Ramrod, Mort Dooley.
