Saturday January 18th started at 10 degrees. at 9:30am we had our first safety meeting of 2003 conducted by ifin ida shotbedder (ringer) our club vice president. the eight brave shooters were up to facing fridgid temperatures which ranged from 10 to 26 degrees. Ringer had written the stages with snow and ice in mind, four of the stages had no movement, all firearms were shot from the starting position. the fifth stage had alot of movement without any held firearms. the stages were written from the most basic in the first stage to more challenging as the match progressed. we battled black Bart's gang of villains over the five stages.
Two news shooters joined the regulators for the Jan. shoot, Clint Campbell aka clink shooting 32 vaqueritos, also shooting was tom Thornburg from Greeneville shooting 45lc. we wish to extend a hearty welcome to these cowboys.
When the smoke cleared Ringer emerged as top gun once again, new comer clink blazed his way into second place and third place was tied at 18 rank points each between ottway smith and Tennessee deadeye.
