December G.C.R. Shoot Sets New Record

December 4th dawned a chilly 38 degrees, by 9.30am it had warmed up to 43 degrees, and by 1.30 it hit a pleasant 63 degrees. A record was broken when 24 Cowboys and Cowgirls showed up for the December Match. We shot Mort Dooley’s Silverado stages from earlier in the year and I think they were more fun the second time around. The stages were well designed and moved quickly, Thanks Mort! Ringer and Lick Creek Kid headed up posse #1, and Tennessee Deadeye and Mort Dooley headed up Posse #2.  Sheez Packin baked up some wonderful

Goodies for all the Cowboys, Thanks very much Patsy!! We decided we would have our Christmas Dinner and Annual meeting and Officer elections after our next shoot on January 15th at the Homestead restaurant on 11 E between Greeneville and Moshiem. All Cowpokes are encouraged to bring their better halves and youngsters to our dinner.

The Junior Category is now broken down into two groups; Buckaroos ages 13 and under, and Young Guns 14 thru 16. Buckaroos can now use 22LR rim fire in pistols and rifles and 410 shotguns.
