APRIL 2003 NEWS

Saturday April 19^TH dawned to clear skies and 54 degrees. by match time the temperature was 65 degrees. twenty three shooters showed up as well as six spectators. ringer had written the six interesting stages with speed as his goal. c.a. daver and clink headed up one posse, and ringer and deadeye headed up the second posse. posse one was finished by 1 p.m., and posse two was finished by 1:30p.m. by 2 p.m. the temperature had hit 78 degrees.

lunch was catered by Todd Shipley of the hot dog hut in Greeneville. everyone got plenty to eat, 2 hot dogs loaded with homemade chili, chips, drink and fresh baked cookies. this was a delicious and filling lunch. cost of lunch is $6. We had six new shooters this match; Lickcreek kid, Houston, David Payne, Rhett Mosby, moonshine, sandy, and cactus jack. once again sunshine Billy made the longest drive to shoot with us, all the way from Jamestown Tn.

once again ringer (ifin ida shotbedder) was top gun slinger overall. Tennessee deadeye was second, clink was third, Ottway smith was forth, and sunshine Billy was fifth. hi-wall Johnson was our top duelist finisher. Looking forward to may 17^th we will have diamondback Dennis and his lovely and deadly wife Carolina gem back to shoot with us. they finished first and third when they shot with us in February.

also coon Dawg will be selling pants from $35 to $39 and shirts from $30 to $40 at the may shoot. he also has clothing for the ladies as well as many other items. So bring some extra dollars to spend on some great cowboy clothing. after the match we will offer a shooting school for beginners and intermediate shooters for a $10 donation. this class should last one to one and half hours. the donations will be used toward building a jail and saloon front on bay #2. this school will be taught by ringer, deadeye, and diamondback Dennis. Carolina Gem will also be helping teach the shooting school for all the interested lady shooters.

Also club dues are due. $40 1st year-$30 renewal. we have a total of 19 paid up members. if more than one shooter in a family additional shooters are $25 and $20 renewal. we have our new shotgun targets and will be shooting them in may.
