Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Saturday started out a very chilly morning in the low 20's but despite the cold weather 23 cowboys and cowgirls showed up to dispatch a bunch of rustlers in the land. William AA Wallace had again supplied us with some fine stages and funny stories to accompany them as well. It turned out to be a beautiful day with temperatures rising to a comfortable level by the time the shooting began.
When the dust had settled and the guns were put away, Middle Creek Kid was the Top Gun for the second month in a row. Lil Weasel was the top 49er with Rio the top Senior. Once again we have varied classes finishing high in the match which shows the talent in our club. For the complete list of shooters and their finish, check out the scores section on the website.
**Help Needed**
In case you haven't noticed, the barn that was on the property is now pretty much disassembled and on the ground. There are several stacks of lumber that we need help taking the nails out of. Once we get the nails out of the lumber, work can begin on the stage fronts. Please lend a hand with this and help us to make the range look better with the construction of the fronts. So far, a small group has been doing most of the work and they need help to continue making progress.
**Special Notice**
Out annual meeting will be held Jan. 13th at 5:30pm at the Cherokee Restaurant located on Highway 66 between our range and Rogersville. It is directly across the road from Cherokee High School near the Highway 70 turnoff that leads to Greeneville. The building is white with red trim. If you need directions contact Mort Dooley for more information.
I'd like to thank everyone for a great year and wish each of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hopefully 2007 will see our club expand and continue to develop our new facility. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at our meeting and the next match. Remember we will be shooting on the 1st Saturday from now on. Until next month, shoot straight and have fun the cowboy way, from the Ramrod, Mort Dooley.
