Regulators Stand and Deliver in August
This month we had another great match for all of our cowboys. William AA Wallace had written the stages and did a good job as usual. There were 27 cowboys and cowgirls and two Buckerettes ready to "Stand and Deliver" when the day started. The weather started out hot and muggy and only got hotter as the day went on. I was off on some other business and couldn't be in Greeneville but there were plenty of good cowboys to help out and take care of everything. Thanks to everyone for making the match a success.
Ottway Smith was the Top Gun this month shooting Senior Duelist with those pretty open top 1872 Colts. Congratulations Ottway! O'Shea was 2nd overall with Doc Willoughby in 3rd. Middle Creek Kid was 4th after only shooting with us a few months. Middle Creek has been moving up and is really shooting good.
Joining our cowboys again were Doc Hawken, Killen Hollow Clyde aka Brad and Bent Branch Bonnie aka Mel. Cherokee Deacon, Two Feathers, Lewis Shaw, Rhett Mosby and Cigar John were also able to shoot this month.
New shooter Sixgun Jeff finished 12th overall and Quigley who is also a new shooter, placed 22nd overall. Hacksaw Hurt who is Killen Hollow Clyde's brother shot and finished 23rd which was excellent for his first match. All of these cowboys said they would be back because they had lots of fun.
Buckerette Summer Breeze shot stage one in 48.9 seconds which was 15th out of 29 shooters. That is really great for one of my favorite little cowgirls. Her younger sister B.N. Bonnett was back to shoot with us this month also and did well in her second match.

September is the 3rd Anniversary of the Greene County Regulators and we are planning to have a special match. There will be regular stages as well as several special side matches to shoot. Bring plenty of ammo because $15 will let you shoot all day long. We will have a team shoot, the Texas Death Star will be set up and possibly a moving train car side match for shotgun. Bring a friend and come spend the day. I will try to have an update on the website with more info on the match soon.
I hope everyone can come out help celebrate our 3rd year as a cowboy club. We'll be working hard to make it a fun time for everyone. Until then, shoot straight and have fun the cowboy way from the Ramrod, Mort Dooley.
